About the Role

This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a high-profile research initiative exploring how artificial intelligence is reshaping work and leadership in professional knowledge work. Responsibilities

  • Conduct high-quality empirical research on the impact of AI on work, leadership, and organizations.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret qualitative and quantitative research data.
  • Engage with industry partners, support research projects, and translate findings into practical outcomes for organizations and policymakers.
  • Prepare publications, reports, and presentations for academic, industry, and policy audiences.

Requirements

  • Must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of the employment.
  • Employment is conditional upon the completion of all role-required pre-employment or background checks.
  • A completed PhD in a relevant discipline is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct high-quality research.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Experience working with qualitative and/or quantitative research methods.
  • Ability to engage effectively with a range of senior and junior stakeholders.
  • Organized, proactive, and collaborative.
  • Genuine interest in producing research that informs practice and contributes to meaningful outcomes.

Skills

  • PhD in a relevant discipline such as information systems, organizational studies, business, management, leadership, sociology or a related field
  • Good understanding of AI as a technology, beyond merely using AI tools
  • Demonstrated experience conducting research and contributing to academic publications
  • Experience in qualitative and/or quantitative research design, data collection and analysis
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate findings to diverse audiences
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • Experience building productive relationships with academic, industry and external stakeholders
  • A proactive, adaptable and collaborative approach to research and teamwork

  • $132,533 - $157,381 + 17% superannuation
