About the Role
Join our Communication Networks Team to design, optimize, and transform next-generation mobile networks. You will work with 4G/5G Radio Access Networks, combining technical expertise with consulting and stakeholder management skills to improve network performance and enable automation.
Responsibilities
- End-to-end involvement in Communication Networks projects – from RAN assessment and optimization concepts to hands-on analysis and implementation support in live networks.
- Analysis and optimization of 4G/5G Radio Access Networks, including KPI deep-dives, benchmarking, and performance troubleshooting.
- Close collaboration with client engineering, operations, and management teams as a trusted advisor on RAN architecture and vendor-specific implementations.
- Application of modern approaches in network automation, orchestration, and data-driven or AI-supported optimization.
- Contribution to international project teams and technical leadership of workstreams.
Requirements
- Deep technical expertise in Radio Access Networks with hands-on experience in 4G/5G RAN architecture, protocols, configuration, and performance management
- Strong vendor experience (Ericsson and/or Nokia is a must)
- Proven background in RAN optimization, benchmarking, KPI analysis, and performance improvement methodologies
- Experience with drive test analysis, scanner measurements, geo-located KPIs, and tools such as TEMS, Actix and/or Rohde & Schwarz
- Understanding of network automation frameworks, orchestration workflows, and AI-driven optimization processes
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and consultancy skills.
- University degree or vocational training with technical background
- Flexibility to travel depending on project phases
- Excellent English and fluent German, both required for client-facing work.
