About the Role
We are seeking to hire an Emerging Market Debt Trader to execute orders from portfolio managers and analysts across our EMEA book of business. This is an execution role with significant opportunity to add value to client portfolios through collaboration with portfolio managers and analysts.
Responsibilities
- Execute EMD transactions using a mixture of high-touch and low-touch execution methods for all relevant accounts under management.
- Execute orders consistent with best execution and risk management practices, policies, and procedures.
- Gather, analyze, and disseminate market, sector, and security information to identify or create actionable investment opportunities.
- Develop and enhance an in-depth understanding of the investment philosophies and strategies of portfolio managers, strategists, and analysts.
- Solicit potential trade interest from portfolio managers and locate external supply/identify internal demand for liquidity opportunities.
- Remain informed of new product developments.
- Foster new trading relationships and leverage existing relationships.
- Monitor and improve efforts to enhance efficiency while mitigating risk.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years' relevant trading experience, ideally with a focus on trading $ debt markets within Emerging-Markets.
- Experience trading both cash and derivatives, and a wide array of instruments is additive.
- Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Demonstrate a high degree of accuracy in work.
