About the Role
The Accounts Receivable Specialist will provide experienced, hands-on AR support across reconciliations, cash and receipt management, and debt recovery, while also supporting process improvement and automation initiatives within the Finance team.
Responsibilities
- Deliver period-end reconciliations across shopping card, cinema and affiliate revenue streams, ensuring accuracy, completeness and strong financial controls.
- Investigate discrepancies across affiliate platforms and Business Central, identifying root causes and recommending practical resolutions.
- Manage cashbook postings, receipt allocation and Business Central approvals, identifying and resolving anomalies.
- Oversee debt recovery activities, adapting collection approaches and escalating complex accounts.
- Produce AR reporting and commentary to support informed decision-making.
- Build collaborative relationships with internal teams and external partners to resolve queries.
- Identify and recommend improvements to reconciliation and AR processes to enhance controls and efficiency.
Requirements
- Solid, hands-on experience within an Accounts Receivable or Sales Ledger environment.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work with a good degree of independence.
- Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs and XLOOKUPs.
- Familiarity with finance systems.
- Track record of investigating complex variances and discrepancies.
- Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to build trusted working relationships and influence stakeholders.
- Proactive, improvement-focused approach with interest in identifying better ways of working.
- Experience across both B2B and retail or ecommerce environments is desirable.
- Experience with Dynamics 365 / Business Central is a welcome addition.
- Curiosity about AI and automation as tools for improvement is a welcome addition.
