About the Role

This role involves setting up and managing temporary traffic lights, ensuring public safety, and maintaining traffic flow. You will work with direct and sub-contract labor to meet project targets and deadlines, adhering to all health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Setting up temporary traffic lights at required locations.
• Managing traffic flow at temporary traffic lights and ensuring public compliance.
• Reporting necessary information to site or operations managers.
• Reading and interpreting CAD traffic management drawings.
• Maintaining and removing traffic management within specified time scales.
• Assisting with traffic diversion.
• Ensuring the team works safely and effectively to achieve optimum output and quality.
• Ensuring compliance with the Health & Safety at Work Act.
• Being aware of and complying with provided RAMS (Risk Assessment Method Statements).
• Assisting with the unloading and loading of materials.
• Ensuring safe working practices are followed as outlined in Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
• Reporting plant and vehicle defects.

Requirements

• Experience in one or more of the following positions: Streetworks Operative.
• Must be able to pass a Drugs & Alcohol Check.
• Must have the Right to Work in the UK.
• Must possess a Full UK Driving licence with no more than 6 points.

Skills

• Lantra approved Traffic Management Qualifications
• Ability to read and interpret CAD traffic management drawings.
• Reliable and dependable with a good attitude to work.
