About the Role

As a Bilingual Department Manager, you will be the Irrigation expert in the branch, working closely with customers to ensure excellence in the department. You will assist with sales and operations planning, promote a safe and positive work environment, and train staff on the Irrigation product line to achieve departmental sales goals.

Responsibilities

• Assist Branch Manager with sales and operations planning, demand forecasting, and integration of supply and demand plans.
• Promote an incident-free environment by emphasizing safety daily through leading by example.
• Encourage a strong safety culture through workplace organization, training, and policy execution.
• Understand and execute inventory management principles, target customer mix, and sales strategies.
• Create a positive environment for employees that encourages teamwork in alignment with SiteOne DNA.
• Train and develop agronomic staff to be knowledgeable of the Irrigation product line and customer needs to support departmental sales goals.
• Partner with branch leadership to implement new technologies and ways of working to positively impact business performance.
• Support other branch departments and customers as needed.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience in the green industry and an understanding of irrigation products, preferred.
• Excellent customer service and management skills.
• Experience with sales and operations planning and forecasting.
• Understanding of accounting fundamentals, including debits, credits, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and budgets.
• Ready and willing to learn and adopt new technologies and ways of working.
• For Internal Candidates Only: Line of Business (LOB) Certification Level I or higher, preferred.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
