About the Role
Act as a subject matter expert across metering technologies, installations, and regulatory requirements, supporting both operational delivery and business improvement initiatives. This role combines technical problem-solving, stakeholder engagement, and industry influence to deliver safe, compliant, and efficient metering outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical expertise across metering installations, technologies, and related equipment
- Support compliance with National Electricity Rules (NER), AEMO procedures, and industry obligations
- Investigate and resolve complex metering incidents, complaints, and technical escalations
- Partner with meter providers, distributors, contractors, and key stakeholders to deliver effective outcomes
- Support deployment programs, operational workflows, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Conduct technical assessments, audits, and compliance reviews
- Provide expert advice on new metering technologies, regulatory changes, and business initiatives
- Act as a subject matter expert on industry and business transformation projects
Requirements
- Extensive experience in electricity metering and metering operations
- Strong knowledge of the National Electricity Market, AEMO procedures, and distributor processes
- Proven ability to analyze and solve complex technical challenges
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
- Experience operating within regulatory and compliance-driven environments
- A continuous improvement mindset and customer-focused approach
