About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead platform product development initiatives for next-generation Semiconductor Testers. This role involves creating innovative technical solutions, identifying risks, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet customer needs and implement designs for manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Exhibit an advanced understanding of mechanical design concepts and communicate design trade-offs.
• Direct the application of engineering principles to develop new ideas.
• Resolve complex issues creatively with minimal direction.
• Develop high-level business objectives into specific product design requirements.
• Lead and collaborate with development teams on communication, technical guidance, trade-off analysis, project scheduling, and change management.
• Collaborate with the supply base to achieve economically viable solutions.
• Develop industry-leading platform products with scalable electro-mechanical architectures.
• Provide signal delivery solutions for precision electro-mechanical docking systems.
• Ensure high reliability in various thermal operating environments.
• Consider end-user constraints, cost, and time to market.
• Deliver solutions for advanced semiconductor testing.
• Participate in and influence the development of long-term technical capability roadmaps.
• Contribute as a subject matter expert for platform considerations, challenges, and solutions.
• Routinely create innovative ideas, intellectual property, technical publications, or presentations.

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of related experience with a BS in Mechanical Engineering, or 6 years with an MS.
• Proficiency in CAD/FEA tools such as SOLIDWORKS, Solidworks Simulation, Ansys, and PDM systems.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T standards and tolerance loop analysis.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing and presentations.
• Competent in complex problem-solving/troubleshooting for both components and subsystems.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and complex design reviews.
