About the Role

Drive user-centred design across the product lifecycle by understanding user needs, validating problems, and crafting intuitive experiences that deliver measurable business and customer outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct user interviews, usability studies, and stakeholder workshops.
  • Identify user needs, pain points, and opportunities.
  • Develop personas, journey maps, and service blueprints.
  • Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs.
  • Design interfaces that are intuitive, accessible, and visually engaging.
  • Establish and maintain design systems and design standards.
  • Work closely with Product Leads and Engineers to shape product direction.
  • Translate business objectives into user-centred solutions.
  • Prioritise design efforts based on user impact and product goals.
  • Plan and conduct usability testing.
  • Analyse user feedback and behavioural insights.
  • Iterate designs based on evidence and measurable outcomes.

Requirements

  • Background in Product Design, UX Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Digital Media, Visual Communication, Information Systems, Computer Science, Psychology, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant UI/UX, Product Design, or Service Design experience; candidates with 5–8 years of experience may be considered for a more senior role depending on portfolio strength and product delivery exposure.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product design work, including problem framing, user research, journey mapping, wireframing, prototyping, usability testing, visual design, and design iteration based on evidence.
  • Proven ability to translate user needs, business goals, and technical constraints into simple, intuitive, accessible, and scalable digital experiences.
  • Proficiency in Figma and modern design workflows, including component libraries, design systems, interactive prototyping, handoff to developers, and collaboration with product and engineering teams.
  • Good understanding of accessibility, responsive design, usability principles, information architecture, interaction design, and content clarity.
  • Experience facilitating or supporting user interviews, usability testing, stakeholder workshops, co-creation sessions, and design critiques.
  • Ability to work closely with Product Leads, Engineers, Business Analysts, and stakeholders in an agile or product squad environment.
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to explain design rationale clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience designing enterprise platforms, citizen-facing digital services, SaaS products, government digital services, or internal productivity tools is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Figma, analytics dashboards, or user feedback platforms will be an added advantage.
