About the Role

MGG Health is seeking a Group Finance Manager to lead our APAC finance function and play a pivotal role in the next phase of our growth. This is an outstanding opportunity for an ambitious finance leader seeking a genuine second-in-command role, with broad exposure across FP&A, business partnering, accounting, payroll, credit control and strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with the Director, Corporate Services to support financial planning, business performance, reporting and transformation initiatives across the organisation.
  • Lead and integrate the full finance function across FP&A, business partnering, credit control, payroll and accounting.
  • Take ownership of the day-to-day performance of the finance function, ensuring accurate reporting, strong controls, effective cash management and high service levels across the business.
  • Balance leadership responsibilities with hands-on execution, remaining close to the numbers, systems, controls and operational finance activities.
  • Own annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, long-range planning, financial modelling and management reporting.
  • Partner with operational, commercial, sales and recruitment leaders to drive profitability, margin performance and informed decision-making.
  • Lead the credit control function to optimise cash collection, reduce DSO and strengthen working capital performance.
  • Oversee accurate, compliant and timely payroll and pay-billing across all AU and NZ entities.
  • Own month-end, year-end and statutory reporting, balance sheet integrity, audit management and financial controls.
  • Drive finance transformation initiatives across ERP, Salesforce and Power BI, delivering automation, efficiency and reporting improvements.
  • Build, develop and inspire a high-performing, accountable and engaged finance team.

Requirements

  • CA or CPA qualified, with a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
  • Significant senior finance leadership experience spanning multiple finance disciplines.
  • Demonstrated experience leading FP&A, accounting, credit control and payroll functions.
  • Strong technical accounting, reporting, compliance and financial controls expertise.
  • Advanced financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting and business performance analysis capability.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and partner effectively across the business.
  • Proven ability to partner with executive leaders and operational stakeholders to drive commercial outcomes and support strategic decision-making.
  • A genuine player-coach leadership style, equally comfortable presenting financial insights to senior leaders, building financial models, reviewing reconciliations and supporting the team through critical delivery periods.
  • A hands-on approach and genuine enjoyment of operational finance leadership, with a willingness to remain close to the detail while maintaining a strategic perspective.
  • Demonstrated experience identifying opportunities to improve processes, strengthen controls and enhance financial performance across the business.
  • Experience leading teams within fast-paced, high-growth environments where adaptability, accountability and practical execution are highly valued.
  • A commercially minded and pragmatic approach, with a passion for continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Experience supporting board reporting, audit processes, banking relationships and executive-level decision-making.
  • The ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment where adaptability, accountability and initiative are highly valued.
