About the Role
This role involves module responsibility, teaching, and student supervision for Bachelor and Master programs. It also includes active participation in program development, quality assurance, and creating learning materials. The position requires initiating and maintaining industry and research collaborations, participating in accreditation, academic administration, and developing a personal research profile.
Responsibilities
- Module responsibility and teaching of Gisma Bachelor and Master programmes
- Examination, assessments, and student supervision
- Active participation in programme development and quality assurance
- Conception, creation and adaptation of teaching and learning materials
- Initiate, expand and maintain cooperation with partners in industry and research
- Participation in accreditation procedures
- Active participation in academic administration and committee work
- Further development of a personal research profile, publication of results, and public dissemination activities
- Participation in student recruitment events
Requirements
- Fulfilled requirements according to Section 42 ff of the Brandenburg Higher Education Act (BbgHG)
- Completed university studies
- Proof of extraordinary qualification for scientific work (outstanding doctorate and/or outstanding scientific publications)
- Qualified professional experience in the field of the professorship (at least three years, two outside of a university after master's degree)
- Experience in teaching in university classrooms, with blended and online approaches
- Excellent quality of teaching and pedagogical aptitude confirmed by student evaluations
- High affinity for computer science topics
- Strong expertise in core areas of software engineering
- Specialized knowledge in at least one subfield (software architecture, testing and quality assurance, or agile development methodologies)
- Practical proficiency with modern programming languages, frameworks, and state-of-the-art tools and technologies (e.g., Java, C#, Git, GitHub Actions, Jira, JUnit/NUnit)
- Internationally experienced
- Fluent in English for teaching and research purposes
- Significant publications
- Research experience, ideally including acquisition of funding
- Ability to provide new innovative directions for research and teaching
- Experience in curriculum development and accreditation processes (ideal)
