About the Role

Red Cross Shops are seeking vibrant individuals to contribute to their community, utilize life skills, or gain new experiences. Volunteering in a Red Cross Shop supports the rescue of pre-loved clothing from landfills and helps raise vital funds for vulnerable people across Australia. Volunteers become part of a team, receive training and development opportunities, and enjoy a generous discount on purchases.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome and engage customers
  • Process transactions through point of sale, including cash and eftpos payments
  • Sort and price donations
  • Create vibrant displays to attract shoppers
  • Keep the shop clean and tidy
  • Follow all shop processes

Requirements

  • Must be at least 15 years of age (QLD – You must be 16)
  • Complete a National Police check (paid for by Red Cross)
  • Complete an Induction into our organisation and Retail program

Skills

  • Friendly and positive attitude
