About the Role
As Development Manager, you will oversee the delivery of mixed-use projects, including student accommodation and build-to-rent properties. You will ensure planning and acquisition outcomes align with strategic and sustainability targets, delivering best-in-class living environments. You will manage the front-end delivery of complex, large-scale projects across development, design, construction, and ESG, representing the company with authorities, partners, and consultants.
Responsibilities
- Manage the front-end delivery of complex, large-scale projects, including feasibilities, forecasting and development applications
- Provide technical and commercial oversight across development, design, procurement and construction workstreams
- Represent the company with planning authorities, joint venture partners and external consultants
- Coordinate architects, engineers and specialist consultants to keep projects aligned to budget, schedule and guidelines
- Lead contract negotiations and tender processes, working closely with the Construction team to select top-tier partners
- Prepare project reports, track budgets and costs, and keep stakeholders and the management board informed
Requirements
- 5-8+ years' experience in Property, Architecture, Construction or a related discipline
- Demonstrated experience contributing to and managing large-scale residential development projects in NSW
- Significant experience in property development or construction in Australia
- Proven track record delivering complex projects on time and within budget
- Deep understanding of the property development lifecycle, from planning and design through to construction and operations
- Strong financial acumen, with experience in budget management and financial reporting
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships across diverse teams
