About the Role

As Development Manager, you will oversee the delivery of mixed-use projects, including student accommodation and build-to-rent properties. You will ensure planning and acquisition outcomes align with strategic and sustainability targets, delivering best-in-class living environments. You will manage the front-end delivery of complex, large-scale projects across development, design, construction, and ESG, representing the company with authorities, partners, and consultants.

Responsibilities

Manage the front-end delivery of complex, large-scale projects, including feasibilities, forecasting and development applications
Provide technical and commercial oversight across development, design, procurement and construction workstreams
Represent the company with planning authorities, joint venture partners and external consultants
Coordinate architects, engineers and specialist consultants to keep projects aligned to budget, schedule and guidelines
Lead contract negotiations and tender processes, working closely with the Construction team to select top-tier partners
Prepare project reports, track budgets and costs, and keep stakeholders and the management board informed

Requirements

5-8+ years' experience in Property, Architecture, Construction or a related discipline
Demonstrated experience contributing to and managing large-scale residential development projects in NSW
Significant experience in property development or construction in Australia
Proven track record delivering complex projects on time and within budget
Deep understanding of the property development lifecycle, from planning and design through to construction and operations
Strong financial acumen, with experience in budget management and financial reporting
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships across diverse teams
