About the Role

We are seeking a talented, sales-oriented Licensed Beauty Sales Consultant to join our beauty retail division. You will provide personalized product advice, share beauty trends, and perform in-store beauty services to deliver a top-notch customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Seek out customers to ensure a world-class beauty advisor experience.
• Provide personalized sales service, upselling, and suggestive selling based on customer needs.
• Use verbal skills to engage customers and generate sales.
• Act as a brand expert to answer customer questions and maximize sales baskets.
• Promote CVS services, Beauty Club programs, in-store events, and current promotions.
• Represent CVS and partner brands while upholding high service standards.
• Perform ear-piercing services and all other applicable beauty services offered in the store.
• Pass proficiency assessments before performing services.
• Educate customers by demonstrating proper product usage and highlighting features.
• Manage time effectively between consultations, scheduled services, and walk-in clients.
• Display active Cosmetology/Esthetician license during all working hours.
• Create and maintain product displays and promotional materials.
• Represent CVS at sales programs and events.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked, and well-merchandised beauty zone.
• Execute sanitation and hazardous waste disposal policies.
• Complete ongoing sales, brand, and service training.
• Maintain a professional appearance in compliance with company policies.

Requirements

• Possess a current and valid Cosmetology/Esthetician license in the state of employment.
• Ability and willingness to perform ear-piercing and other offered beauty services.
• Pass all required skills assessments and training courses.
• Ability to use sales data and product knowledge to meet goals.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
• Goal-driven with the ability to multi-task.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Available to travel to sales programs and events as needed.
• Available to work a flexible retail schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Nevada applicants must provide confirmation of Makeup Artist or Threader registration.
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills required in specific store locations.
• Minimum 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and move throughout the store.
• Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach.
• Manual dexterity for tasks such as hair styling, makeup application, and ear piercing.
