About the Role

The Executive Director will have overall strategic and operational responsibility for the Conservation Finance Network's (CFN) staff, programs, expansion, and execution of its mission. This role involves developing deep knowledge of the field, core programs, operations, partnerships, network stakeholders, fundraising plans, and strategic growth opportunities to increase capacity for resource conservation solutions.

Responsibilities

Provide executive leadership aligned with strategic priorities and effective program delivery.
Refine and implement CFN’s multi-year strategic vision with input from the Steering Committee.
Develop an implementation plan for priority goals and actions, including timelines and budgets.
Develop and implement a fundraising plan for an annual budget of $600,000-$850,000.
Strategically increase revenue generation and fundraising activities.
Recruit non-monetary in-kind contributions.
Engage and energize Steering Committee members, network stakeholders, alumni, partners, and funders.
Lead, coach, develop, and motivate staff members.
Guide the staff team on program implementation, including training and network activities.
Identify partnerships for collaboration and new projects.
Manage all aspects of the budget, income, and expenditures in coordination with Multiplier.
Produce timely financial reports for funders and the Steering Committee.
Stay apprised of new conservation finance techniques and build a credible voice on field trends.
Engage in public forums and speaking opportunities.
Share regular updates with Multiplier staff, CFN Steering Committee, and network partners.
Oversee external communications, including a bi-monthly e-newsletter, blog posts, and resource dissemination.
