Responsibilities

Provide trusted, respectful support to Elders helping them live safely and comfortably at home and in community.
Assist with home help tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation.
Assist clients with transportation and personal care, including appointments, shopping, social outings, showering, toileting, and feeding.
Build relationships with clients and their families.
Conduct client observations with ongoing support and training.
Adhere to health and safety guidelines and policies.

Requirements

A compassionate, respectful, and reliable carer who brings empathy, cultural awareness and a willingness to learn.
Holds a valid Australian driver’s licence.
Has a reliable car.
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are encouraged to apply.
Non-Aboriginal carers committed to culturally safe care are also welcome.
