About the Role
This role is central to driving financial performance, strengthening operational controls, and supporting strategic decision-making within the hotel portfolio. You will serve as the primary financial advisor, offering insights, analysis, and coaching to ensure efficient and profitable property operations. This is a fixed-term maternity cover contract for approximately 15 months, starting in November 2026.
Responsibilities
- Partner with General Managers, Department Heads and Owners to provide commercial and financial support.
- Drive the use of dashboards and reporting tools across all departments.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and action planning.
- Maintain strong internal controls, compliance and financial policies.
- Oversee daily, weekly and monthly financial reporting, including revenue, payroll and F&B cost analysis.
- Safeguard assets through effective cash, debtor and stock controls.
- Lead general ledger management, balance sheet reconciliations and monthly/annual reporting.
- Manage credit, payroll compliance, purchasing and accounts payable processes.
- Coach and develop finance and business support team members.
- Promote a disciplined cost-control culture and commercial mindset across all properties.
Requirements
- Background in hotel finance or multi-site operational finance.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to interpret data and influence decisions.
- Proven experience managing financial controls and compliance.
- Skilled in budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
- Confident communicator with strong stakeholder-management capability.
- Experience leading and developing finance teams.
- High attention to detail and strong cost-management discipline.
- Proficient in financial systems, reporting tools and Excel.
