About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced, hands-on Head of Finance to join Showpo in this newly created position and play a key role in leading the transformation of Showpo's finance function. Working closely with the CEO, General Manager and Leadership Team, you will shape the financial strategy, infrastructure and governance required to support the next phase of Showpo's growth. As a key commercial partner to the business, you will provide strategic financial leadership that enables better decision-making, stronger commercial outcomes and scalable operations. We're looking for someone who thrives in high-growth, fast-paced environments, enjoys solving complex business challenges and has successfully led finance transformation within private equity-backed organisations.
Responsibilities
- Lead and execute the long-term vision for Showpo's finance function, ensuring it supports the company's strategic growth objectives.
- Act as a trusted commercial advisor to the CEO, General Manager and Leadership Team, providing financial insight that informs strategic decision-making.
- Develop and execute a finance roadmap over the next 18–24 months, focused on systems, reporting, governance, automation and capability uplift.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting and long-range financial planning processes across the business.
- Develop best-in-class financial planning and analysis (FP&A) capability, including scenario modelling, profitability analysis and investment evaluation.
- Deliver meaningful commercial insights that support business performance, capital allocation and strategic investment decisions.
- Lead the professionalisation of the finance function through best-practice financial processes, governance and operating frameworks.
- Own the evaluation, selection, implementation and successful adoption of enterprise finance systems, including the planned migration to NetSuite or equivalent ERP platforms.
- Lead finance-related change management initiatives, ensuring successful stakeholder engagement, training and business adoption.
- Maintain strong financial governance, risk management and internal control frameworks across the organisation.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory, taxation and regulatory obligations across Australia and international markets.
- Oversee treasury management, including cash flow forecasting, liquidity planning and banking relationships.
- Build capability across the department by introducing best-practice finance disciplines and ways of working.
- Foster strong cross-functional relationships to position Finance as a valued commercial partner across the organisation.
- Manage relationships with external auditors, banks, insurers, tax advisors and other strategic partners.
Requirements
- CA or CPA qualified with 10 years + experience in Finance.
- Significant experience in Head of Finance, Finance Director or equivalent senior finance leadership roles.
- Demonstrated experience operating within private equity-backed organisations or similarly high-growth businesses.
- Proven success leading finance transformation and professionalisation initiatives.
- Strong experience leading organisational change and finance system implementations.
- Advanced financial planning and analysis (FP&A) capability, including budgeting, forecasting and commercial modelling.
- Demonstrated ability to influence executive stakeholders and provide strategic commercial advice.
