About the Role
This national role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse client base and colleagues across Australia and the South Pacific. As an Assistant Manager in the MARC team, you will act as a trusted client-facing advisor, leveraging your deep technical expertise to help organisations stay confident, compliant, and future-ready.
Responsibilities
- Provide core expertise in the interpretation and application of AASB and IFRS standards for a diverse range of organisations.
- Actively contribute to the expansion of the team and business, identifying new opportunities and leading internal initiatives.
- Play a key role in delivering biannual financial reporting updates to clients, enhancing public speaking and presentation skills.
- Address accounting implications for complex transactions, including acquisitions, restructures, and share-based payments.
- Assist clients in preparing clear, compliant accounting policies and manuals tailored to their organisation.
- Provide opportunities for client secondments, allowing direct work within client teams and gaining practical, in-house exposure.
- Oversee the compilation of complex financial statements and provide necessary accounting advisory support.
Requirements
- Proven experience within Accounting Advisory, FAAS, CFO Advisory, Accounting & Reporting Advisory, Professional Practice, or Technical Accounting teams.
- Strong understanding of AASB and IFRS.
- Experience researching and interpreting accounting standards.
- Experience preparing technical accounting advice and recommendations.
