About the Role

The role is a key part of the Network Technology Team, responsible for the delivery of high-quality, reliable, and secure networks, systems, and products. You will manage trading systems networks, carrier networks, data center networks, internet access environments, and network security.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver end-to-end network and security-driven solutions.
  • Collaborate with management to identify company network needs.
  • Collaborate with network designers and SMEs to provide integrated solutions.
  • Liaise with vendors and suppliers.
  • Adapt solutions to meet business unit requirements.
  • Determine suitable hardware and software.
  • Contribute to documentation and knowledge base.
  • Accountable for service delivery performance, meeting customer expectations, and driving future demand.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in networking.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Network Engineer specialized in delivery in at least three environments: DC networks, Security appliances, Cloud networks, or Carrier networks.
  • Deep understanding of core network technologies including OSPF, BGP, MPBGP, MPLS, VxLAN, LDP, and EVPN.
  • Deep understanding of security technologies including Firewalling, Load Balancing, WAF, Proxy, and SIEM.
  • Proven experience implementing and operating F5 Load balancers (LTM, GTM, APM, ASM).
  • Proven experience working with Global Cloud Providers (AWS, GCP, Azure, Oracle) and associated technologies.
  • Proven experience in delivering large-scale and mission-critical networks.
  • Extensive knowledge of network and security vendors such as Arista, Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, and F5.
  • Strong communication, influencing, and negotiating skills.
  • Legally authorised to work in Australia on a permanent basis without restrictions.
