About the Role

Discord is seeking a Security Analyst to manage and scale its Security GRC function. This role involves owning the daily operations of the program, including questionnaires, risk tracking, analyses, tooling, and documentation, with a focus on automation and seamless integration with other teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage the customer security questionnaire program from intake to response, developing a reusable answer library.
• Operate risk and control workflows, including triaging risks, tracking gap closure, and maintaining the risk register.
• Conduct GRC analyses to assess alignment of standards, procedures, and controls with policies and framework requirements.
• Build and maintain the GRC toolchain and its automation, including administering the GRC platform and designing integrations.
• Create documentation for program usability, including internal guidance, policy updates, and security training materials.

Requirements

• 4+ years in security compliance, GRC, or a closely related field.
• Working familiarity with common frameworks such as ISO 27001/27002, SOC 2, PCI DSS, GDPR/CPRA.
• Hands-on experience operating compliance processes like evidence collection, control tracking, risk register upkeep, or security questionnaire response.
• An automation-first instinct, prioritizing tooling, integrations, and repeatable workflows over manual work.
• Comfort using various tools including GRC platforms, ticketing systems, and documentation platforms, with a habit of maintaining clean data.
• Clear writing skills, with the ability to translate dense requirements into usable guidance.
• Ability to work across teams and influence without authority in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
