About the Role

Lead the planning and execution of major tank maintenance works at Clyde and Gore Bay fuel terminals in Sydney. Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and other stakeholders to challenge, optimise and align tank offstream scopes, schedules, and execution strategies with business objectives. Maintain strong field presence and oversight of contractors to ensure work is executed safely, efficiently and in accordance with industry standards and company policy. Drive continuous improvement of our tank maintenance processes to enhance cost, schedule, safety and quality performance. Establish and maintain effective project controls including budgeting, cost forecasting, progress reporting and risk management.

Responsibilities

Lead the planning and execution of major tank maintenance works at Clyde and Gore Bay fuel terminals in Sydney.
Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and other stakeholders to challenge, optimise and align tank offstream scopes, schedules, and execution strategies with business objectives.
Maintain strong field presence and oversight of contractors to ensure work is executed safely, efficiently and in accordance with industry standards and company policy.
Drive continuous improvement of our tank maintenance processes to enhance cost, schedule, safety and quality performance.
Establish and maintain effective project controls including budgeting, cost forecasting, progress reporting and risk management.

Requirements

Engineering, construction or maintenance background.
Experienced in the management of brownfield capital projects and/or major maintenance works.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the oil and gas, petrochemical, mining or similar heavy industry sector.
Solid technical knowledge of operations, maintenance and project requirements in a major hazard facility.
Experienced leading procurement and tendering processes, including tender evaluation and contract award.
Experienced coordinating project commissioning, handover and closeout activities.
Able to positively influence a diverse stakeholder group that includes senior management, operations, contractors and suppliers.
Demonstrated commitment to safety and quality.
