About the Role

As an Associate, you will support strategic reforms in financial, environmental, and social sustainability, and governance. You will deliver key projects and initiatives within an agile, cross-disciplinary team, providing analytical, research, and operational support.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery and management of key initiatives and projects, including the Sustainability Bond Programme Annual Report, ALCO dashboard, secretariat duties, and social impact investment initiatives.
• Undertake quantitative and qualitative research, performing financial/economic analysis and evaluations to formulate conclusions and recommendations for senior decision-makers.
• Proactively build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in Treasury, the NSW public sector, and external experts to influence outcomes through effective communication and collaboration.

Requirements

• Practical experience in public policy, finance/economics, and/or Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG).
• Demonstrated ability to communicate policy, financial, and economic analysis clearly and effectively (verbally and in writing).
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and seek support when needed.
• Project management skills demonstrating the ability to deliver agreed outcomes on time, on budget, and to quality standards.
• Ability to adapt to and thrive in a continuously changing business and policy environment.
• An up-to-date resume detailing knowledge, skills, and experience in relation to the role.
• Complete pre-screening questions as part of the application process.
• Partake in a behavioural based interview and undergo additional assessments if shortlisted.
• Must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or permanent resident of Australia.
• Successful candidate will be required to undergo background checks and provide confirmation of tertiary academic qualifications before commencement.
