About the Role

Questrade Financial Group (QFG) is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Treasury Associate to join their dynamic team. This role focuses on preparing and processing documents for bank accounts, managing signatory designations, and handling AML reviews. The position also involves access management for corporate banks and Treasury Management Systems (TMS), and assisting the Cash Management team with daily wires and projects. As a Kyriba Subject Matter Expert (SME), the candidate will leverage deep technical knowledge for maintenance, optimization, and troubleshooting, alongside daily cash management operations, client case resolution, and bank reconciliations.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and process all documentation required for opening and closing bank accounts domestically and internationally, ensuring compliance with internal policies and relevant regulations.
  • Maintain accurate, highly organized records and documentation on all corporate entities and signing authorities.
  • Complete bank account opening packages, gather required documentation, and obtain necessary corporate signatures.
  • Conduct general banking administrative functions in support of the Treasury, Brokerage Operations, and Finance Teams.
  • Serve as the team's primary point of contact for Kyriba operations, assisting with tool maintenance, routine troubleshooting, and maximizing system features.
  • Administer user access and permission configurations across corporate banking platforms and Treasury Management Systems (TMS).
  • Manage user access controls and permissions for banking and TMS platforms.
  • Manage bank signatory designations, ensuring appropriate authorization levels and compliance with internal controls.
  • Provide timely response on bank’s AML reviews.
  • Assist the Cash Management Team with daily wires, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payments.
  • Process and review incoming and outgoing payments in various currencies, including bill payments, deposits, wires, and EFTs.
  • Execute daily cash transfers and wires as required, assisting the Cash Management team to facilitate timely funds movements.
  • Perform daily bank reconciliations, matching bank statements against the GL and reconciling any assigned control accounts.
  • Complete manual journal entries for daily funds movements.
  • Identify, investigate, and proactively resolve bank balance variances to clear discrepancies.
  • Support the Treasury team on various ad-hoc projects, process improvements, and strategic initiatives as required.
  • Perform other administrative functions including maintaining and writing policies and procedures.
  • Monitor, respond to, and resolve client cases and queries efficiently through the INH pod.
  • Collaborate and partner effectively with diverse internal teams (Legal, Compliance, Risk, AML, Tax, and Finance) to resolve operational or regulatory banking challenges.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in the financial services or brokerage industry, with a strong background in bank account management, banking operations, or finance.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with diverse internal teams including Legal, AML, Tax, and Finance.
  • Independent worker and analytical thinker with the ability to conduct research, analyze data, and resolve complex transactional or system problems.
  • Comprehensive understanding of banking operations, products, services and relevant regulations.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a proven ability to prioritize multiple tasks, manage confidential information, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Meticulous attention to details and a commitment to maintaining a high level of accuracy under pressure.
  • Well-developed computer skills and proficient in Excel & Google Sheets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Highly motivated, proactive individual with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated deep technical proficiency and expert-level knowledge of Kyriba or similar treasury management tools.
  • Knowledge of Bloomberg is an asset.
  • CSC and CPH completion is an asset.
