About the Role
Responsible for leading the reservation team, ensuring compliance with Four Seasons standards, and maximizing business opportunities through managing room inventories, overbooking, and upsell strategies. This role also involves managing relationships with Online Travel Agencies (OTAs).
Responsibilities
- Maintain a harmonious and professional relationship with the team, co-workers, and all departments.
- Conduct standards testing, including call observations.
- Conduct follow-up training sessions and provide timely feedback to staff.
- Develop and mentor reservation staff for future advancement.
- Work quickly in a high-pressure environment and handle stress effectively.
- Supervise the day-to-day duties of the reservation team and provide assistance as needed.
- Hold monthly department meetings with the reservation team to ensure communication and address issues.
- Participate in and develop staff training programs and development plans to minimize turnover and maintain high morale, with emphasis on individuals qualifying for future advancement.
- Supervise, train, and motivate department staff to thoroughly understand all duties and responsibilities.
- Meet with the Director weekly to communicate all activities and report concerns.
- Actively network within the community to attract potential candidates for recruitment.
- Prepare reviews and development plans, and take appropriate personnel actions (hire, commend, discipline, evaluate) with the reservation team as required.
- Assist in other areas of the department as needed.
Requirements
- Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Working technical knowledge of generally accepted sales principles.
- Knowledge of and ability to operate computer equipment.
- Excellent Excel and computer skills.
- Opera, Golden Sales, and catering systems knowledge is ideal and greatly valued.
- Must possess legal work authorization for Japan.
- Fluent in English and Japanese business communication.
