About the Role

The Senior Analyst or Associate will be an active member of the Credit Investments (CI) team, contributing to the growth and management of PSP’s CI portfolio in Europe. This role involves all aspects of the private debt lending process and monitoring, including investment screening, financial modeling, accounting analysis, industry analysis, due diligence, and portfolio monitoring.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preliminary analysis of CI investment opportunities by reviewing marketing materials, public information, credit documents, and ratings reports.
  • Participate in due diligence of CI investments, identifying key merits and risks, meeting with management teams, and reviewing data-room documentation.
  • Build detailed financial models, including running downside scenarios and reviewing financial projections.
  • Participate in the preparation of investment recommendation memorandums for investment approval.
  • Participate in the presentation of investment proposals to the Investment Committee.
  • Develop relationships and liaise with investment professionals at CI’s partner firms.
  • Interface with Legal, Risk, and Tax groups in the review of proposed investments.
  • Review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial report packages from portfolio companies and track performance against internal guidelines.
  • Prepare periodic reports and undertake various analyses on portfolio status and performance.
  • Identify and assess opportunities in the secondary market.
  • Interface with the Finance and Operations departments as required.
  • Perform any other tasks as may be required.

Requirements

  • Two to four years of experience performing the above tasks at a similar Credit fund, in Leveraged Finance or Investment Banking.
  • Excellent financial and accounting analytical skills.
  • Very good attention to detail and presentation of information.
  • Superior level of proficiency with business software and analytical tools.
  • English required.
  • Business or comparable university degree with high academic standing.
