About the Role
Join our team as a Senior Network Automation Engineer and play a pivotal role in mid to large-scale networking projects. You'll spearhead network automation and data discovery/analysis initiatives. This role entails crafting scripts and playbooks/cookbooks to seamlessly automate bulk network modifications. Your expertise will extend to scripting for database queries, bolstering the databases housing network telemetry and status information. Your adeptness with Ansible, Terraform, and Python will be instrumental in supporting our network automation platform. Responsibilities
- Spearhead network automation and data discovery/analysis initiatives.
- Craft scripts and playbooks/cookbooks to automate bulk network modifications.
- Script for database queries to support network telemetry and status information databases.
- Support the network automation platform using Ansible, Terraform, and Python.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Ansible and Terraform, including crafting custom plugins and modules.
- High level of expertise in a mainstream programming language, preferably Python.
- Experience leveraging Generative AI tools and AI-assisted development practices.
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code and config-as-code principles.
- Experience developing software applications within complex networking environments.
- Ability to solve challenging network-related problems.
- Exposure to firewall technologies (F5, Juniper SRX, Fortinet FortiGate, FortiManager, Security Director) is highly regarded.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and Linux.
- Proficiency in designing and executing effective database queries.
- Hands-on familiarity with MongoDB.
- Deep understanding of software testing strategies.
- Ability to construct and maintain CI/CD pipelines, preferably using Jenkins.
