About the Role

Seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician in Sydney to ensure the smooth operation of Parramatta Light Rail Vehicles through corrective maintenance and fault finding, adhering to CAF policies and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Forward planning regarding workloads and ensuring resource and material availability.
• Inputting and overseeing the accuracy of daily data in the asset management system.
• Performing corrective maintenance on CAF rolling stock according to production plans and company policies.
• Utilizing mechanical, electrical schematics, and data logs for innovative fault finding and rectification.
• Inspecting bodywork, roofs, and undercarriages for wear or damage.
• Repairing and replacing parts.
• Checking brakes and couplings.
• Disassembling, testing, and reassembling mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
• Writing reports and updating the Maintenance Management System.
• Recording material movements.
• Ensuring tasks meet relevant Railway standards for quality.
• Carrying out other reasonable tasks as requested by management.
• Maintaining a safe and clean working environment by complying with legislative requirements.

Requirements

• Previous experience within the rail or airline industry preferably.
• Strong computer skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously.
• Honest and Reliable.
• Positive and professional manner.
• Ability to work rostered shift work.
