About the Role

The Assembler is an entry-level position responsible for performing repetitive assembly operations to mass-produce building products such as windows, doors, trusses, panels, or stairs.

Responsibilities

• Place parts in specified relationship to each other.
• Fasten parts together using bolts, clips, screws, cement, or other methods.
• Cut products to specific measurements as needed.
• Remove defective products.
• Tend machines to perform force fitting or fastening operations on the assembly line.
• Work at different workstations based on production needs.
• Adapt to changing tasks based on varying product models.
• Clean equipment, floors, and work areas according to safety procedures.

Requirements

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Ability to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds regularly, 50 pounds frequently, and 100 pounds occasionally.
• Willingness to work overtime as required.
• Must wear required personal protective equipment including ear and eye protection.
