About the Role

The Industry Solutions Engineering (ISE) team is a global engineering organization that works directly with customers to leverage the latest technologies and address their toughest challenges. We collaborate with customer engineers to develop cloud-based solutions, working with Microsoft product teams, partners, and open-source communities. We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with deep expertise in designing and delivering solutions using modern software engineering practices and cloud technologies. You will be part of a cross-functional team working with strategic customers to build innovative solutions, thrive in working with a variety of technologies, solve business problems, contribute to open source, and collaborate with Microsoft product teams.

Responsibilities

Build and ship solutions that meet enterprise security standards (threat modeling, secure coding, privacy, and compliance) from design through production.
Collaborate with stakeholders to determine user requirements for a scenario.
Drive identification of dependencies and the development of design documents for a product, application, service, or platform.
Use modern engineering practices (CI/CD, automated testing, observability, and progressive delivery) to iterate fast and reduce operational risk.
Work directly with customer engineering teams to deliver production-ready solutions, unblock delivery, and ensure outcomes are adopted at scale.
Continuously learn and adapt as technologies and customer priorities evolve; bring clarity, structure, and momentum to complex engagements.
Create an environment of trust, accountability, and continuous improvement while representing the company professionally with external stakeholders.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or related technical discipline and technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
Experience building or integrating AI/ML or LLM-based solutions, prompt engineering, RAG.
Familiarity with deploying and operating AI systems in production environments.
Understanding of model evaluation, data quality, and performance monitoring.
Experience using cloud AI platforms (Microsoft Foundry, OpenAI, or similar).
Master’s degree in computer science or related technical field AND technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
Comfortable with travel up to 25% (role dependent).
