About the Role
The Risk and Controls Analyst supports business operations as part of the first-line risk and compliance function. This position assists in identifying, documenting, and monitoring operational risks while ensuring compliance processes are effectively implemented across the business, contributing to a thrilling new era for the Risk and Compliance team.
Responsibilities
- Identify, document, and assess risks per the Risk Management Framework and policies
- Support control testing to assess risk management effectiveness
- Regularly review and update risk registers
- Ensure risk assessments for major opportunities and changes are completed
- Support risk owners in defining and managing risks
- Review and report residual risks, trends, issues, and breaches
- Monitor regulatory changes and update policies and procedures
- Investigate compliance breaches and incidents; gather data and prepare reports
- Implement and monitor internal controls to mitigate key risks within the business
Requirements
- Experience in risk management, compliance, audit, or regulated industries (preferred, not essential)
- Risk Assessment and Controls Testing experience
- Strong written and verbal communication for documentation and stakeholder engagement
