About the Role

We are seeking a Full-time Chef De Partie to join our team immediately and provide efficient, friendly, and professional service to all lounge guests. Opportunities are available in al la carte and buffet environments, focusing on exciting guests with flair and enthusiasm and demonstrating a genuine passion for customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Executive Chef in food preparation, ordering, and team development to exacting Lounge standards.
  • Ensure strict stock rotation and minimum wastage, with stock control procedures implemented and maintained.
  • Work with and coordinate the work of apprentices in the preparation and production of food as required.
  • Take responsibility for your designated area, as well as anticipation of guests needs.
  • Prepare and present with flair, all menu items for buffet, a la carte, and tray service as required to Lounge standards and within budget controls.
  • Ensure Food safety standards are met in all stages of the food cycle: delivery, storage, preparation, cookery, service, and rotation.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a similar role or environment and relevant trade qualifications.
  • Confident and outgoing personality.
  • Appropriate knowledge of food safety standards.
  • Exceptional personal presentation standards.
  • An appreciation and understanding of wine and food with solid experience in your previous workplace.
  • Must have full working rights in Australia.
  • Successful applicants will be required to undergo a Federal Police check at their own cost via our ID system in order to gain ASIC certification.
