About the Role

Hartman Enterprises, Inc. is a third-generation, family-owned precision machining company seeking a CNC Machine Operator to join their growing team. This role is responsible for operating CNC machines, monitoring production, inspecting parts, and following established setup and quality procedures in a quality-focused manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Operate CNC machines safely and efficiently during production.
  • Load and unload parts, materials, fixtures, and tooling as directed.
  • Follow job travelers, work instructions, setup sheets, and production documentation.
  • Read and interpret basic blueprints, drawings, and inspection requirements.
  • Use precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, indicators, gauges, and other inspection equipment.
  • Perform in-process inspection and verify parts meet quality requirements.
  • Monitor machine operation and identify issues such as tool wear, part defects, alarms, or abnormal machine conditions.
  • Make basic tool wear offsets as trained and authorized.
  • Communicate dimensional, tooling, quality, or machine issues to setup personnel, Quality, Engineering, or Production leadership.
  • Maintain accurate production counts, inspection records, and production notes.
  • Deburr parts as required.
  • Keep machines, tools, gauges, and work areas clean and organized.
  • Follow all safety, quality, and AS9100/ISO procedures.
  • Maintain reliable attendance and work as part of a team.

Requirements

  • Prior CNC machine operation experience is preferred.
  • Ability to safely operate CNC mills and/or lathes after setup is complete.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to read basic blueprints and understand tolerances.
  • Experience using calipers, micrometers, indicators, gauges, and other measuring tools preferred.
  • Ability to identify part defects, machine alarms, tool wear, and quality concerns.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Reliable attendance and ability to work independently once trained.
  • Willingness to learn and follow Hartman Enterprises' procedures and quality standards.
  • Applicants must meet ITAR compliance requirements.
  • Candidates must be a U.S. Person, as defined by ITAR.
