About the Role
Allstate Sprinkler is hiring Apprentices for the Fire Sprinkler division. This is an opportunity to learn a growing, in-demand, and essential trade. Guardian will train you to become a licensed, certified Fire Sprinkler Technician. We seek hard-working, hands-on individuals eager to learn a new trade in the essential fire protection industry, offering a long-term career with good income potential.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the service, repair, inspections, and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems.
- Support technicians with inspections, testing, and troubleshooting of wet, dry, pre-action, deluge, and standpipe systems.
- Learn and follow NFPA standards, local codes, and company safety procedures.
- Perform basic pipe fitting, cutting, threading, grooving, and assembly tasks under supervision.
- Assist with loading, unloading, and transporting tools, materials, and equipment to job sites.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment at customer locations and company facilities.
- Complete required training programs and safety certifications.
- Accurately document work performed and assist with service reports.
- Communicate professionally with customers, coworkers, and supervisors.
- Follow all OSHA, company, and customer safety requirements.
Requirements
- A current valid driver's license with 3 or less points is required.
- Three years of licensed driving experience is required.
- Experience using a variety of hand tools such as channel locks and pipe wrenches.
- Willing to work varied hours, nights, early morning and weekend shifts when needed.
- Capable and willing to learn and study about the different fire sprinkler systems in order to pass tests and become certified.
- Must be comfortable working on ladders 6 to 12ft and on lifts.
- Ability to lift up to 70lbs.
- Ability to work overhead and in unusual or small spaces such as attics and crawl spaces.
Skills
- Communication skills to interact well with customers and explain necessary repairs.
- Strong writing skills with attention to detail for service work documentation.
- Organizational skills to manage service tickets and required documentation.
