About the Role
Own the sourcing and curation of data for Latch's evals, identifying valuable data sources, building partnerships, and preparing raw data for production.
Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate high-value data sources across biology, including literature, patents, public repositories, and proprietary datasets.
- Build partnerships with data vendors, institutions, and labs to secure access to proprietary data.
- Source clinical and molecular datasets directly from institutions and research groups.
- Assemble and preprocess raw multimodal data (spatial, single-cell, epigenomic, proteomic) into eval-ready form.
- Stage data ahead of bench needs rather than after.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with biological or biomedical data.
- Proven ability to find non-obvious data sources and gain access to them.
- Fluency in primary literature and patent search with the ability to assess data quality.
- Proficiency in Python and/or R.
- Strong written communication skills for external-facing interactions.
