About the Role

NewYork-Presbyterian is opening a state-of-the-art ambulatory care facility in White Plains, NY, in September 2025. This multi-disciplinary facility, led by top Columbia doctors, will offer a wide range of specialized adult and pediatric care. The Operating Room Technician will provide crucial support to physicians during ambulatory surgical procedures, functioning as a scrub person, circulation assistant, and member of the surgical team. This role involves assisting with the care, preparation, and maintenance of supplies and equipment in the Operating Room.

Responsibilities

Provide crucial support to physicians throughout a wide range of ambulatory surgical procedures (e.g., orthopedic, sports medicine, and pediatric ENT).
Function as a scrub person, circulation assistant, and member of the surgical team.
Assist in the care, preparation, and maintenance of supplies and equipment in the Operating Room.

Requirements

At least two years of experience as an OR/Surgical Tech in an acute care setting.
Certified Surgical Technologist by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting Certification (NBSTSA) or if a new graduate, must supply exam date prior to start of employment.
Certification must be obtained within six months of hire and complete a probationary period of six (6) months from date of hire.
High school diploma or GED.
All roles require on-site presence.
Employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.
NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.
