Responsibilities

  • Provide crucial support to physicians throughout a wide range of surgical procedures.

Requirements

  • Certification as a Surgical Technologist by the Association of Surgical Technologist or Surgical Technician by the National Board of Surgical Technician and Surgical Assisting
  • New Graduates: Certification must be obtained within six months of hire.
  • Must supply exam date prior to start of employment and complete a probationary period of six (6) months from date of hire
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Knowledge of Perioperative Nursing Practice & Patient Care
  • All roles require on-site presence.
  • Employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.
  • NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.

  • The NewYork-Presbyterian Alexandra Cohen Hospital for Women and Newborns is a leader in providing outstanding, compassionate, personalized care to pregnant women, newborn babies and their families.
  • Opened on August 2020, the 222,000 square foot facility occupies the top five-and-a-half floors of the NewYork-Presbyterian David H. Koch Center and features: 75 private rooms and well-baby bassinets, 60 private neonatal intensive care isolettes, 16 labor and delivery rooms, five operating rooms, 20 maternal critical assessment and treatment rooms, and 15 ultrasound rooms, which offer state-of-the-art visualization.
