About the Role
Contribute to branch growth, profitability, and customer retention by meeting sales and service goals. Partner with the Branch Manager to facilitate a sales environment that achieves assigned sales and product growth goals through relationship acquisition and expansion. Build awareness, increase knowledge, and drive team member engagement to increase qualified activities and sales production. Provide banking services with a high level of quality to customers.
Responsibilities
- Recommend appropriate products and services to new and existing customers using consultative selling and profiling techniques.
- Assist the Branch Manager in identifying new business development opportunities.
- Solicit new business and consumer loan applications, process applications, and close loans.
- Conduct sales huddles/meetings regularly and provide one-on-one coaching and training.
- Ensure team members have necessary tools and resources, implement best practices, and share success stories.
- Perform outbound calling to customers and prospects to promote Bank products.
- Identify sales opportunities for deposit and customer acquisition, Debit Cards, Credit Cards, NEST referrals, Wealth and Trust services, and consumer and business lending products.
- Respond to complex customer inquiries concerning Bank services.
- Perform complex account and record maintenance duties.
- Meet and exceed assigned sales goals.
- Provide support to the department in achieving overall goals.
- Manage branch sales reports to maximize resources and provide call lists.
- Assist Branch Manager with preparation and completion of operational and sales reports.
- Oversee daily branch operations, including teller transactions, cash drawer balancing, night deposit vault, ATM, and ITM.
- Ensure branch staff operate within Bank policy and procedures and meet audit expectations.
- Assist in coaching and cross-training staff members.
- Understand compliance with all regulations governing the banking industry, agency guidelines, and organization policies.
- Adhere to Bank Customer Standards.
- Provide notary services, if licensed.

- Proficient in migrating customers to the digital channels of the Bank.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of bank products and services.
- Proven knowledge of opening new accounts (checking, savings, etc.).
- Demonstrated ability to successfully lead and guide staff.
- Must be able to work flexible schedules in accordance with the needs of the branch.
- Internal contact with managers, inter-branch and departmental personnel, and outside vendors.
- External contact with existing customers and prospects of the Bank.
- Remain in a stationary position for extended periods.
- Ability to communicate to exchange information with individual customers.
- Ability to travel throughout the company footprint if required.
- Ability to navigate throughout the branch to facilitate customer requests and meet operational standards.
- Ability to operate a computer, phone, and operationally essential equipment.
- Ability to handle money and position self to transport coin bags and boxes.
