About the Role

This role will work as part of an integrated team to provide specialist services to Adults Using Violence referred to The Orange Door. As a Practitioner, you will support people with advice, focusing on risk assessment, engagement, and providing initial responses and information to referred individuals.

Responsibilities

  • Screening and triage, assessment, crisis responses, service planning, targeted interventions
  • Allocation services and coordination of referrals
  • Collaborative working with the Hub team to support integrated risk assessment and planning, including participating in case conferences, meetings and the resolution of stakeholder issues.

Requirements

  • Must hold a current Working with Children Check
  • Must be prepared to undergo a National Criminal History Check prior to commencement.

Skills

  • Experience working with perpetrators of violence, men / fathers
  • Working through an intersectional lens
  • Ability to work with children and families and/or family violence where there are complex needs and risk issues
  • Resilience to work with and support clients who have been exposed to trauma
  • Ability to identify, assess and prioritise risks and needs of clients in a whole of family approach
  • Ability to recognise and identify limits of own expertise and to seek advice or refer clients to other specialists
  • Assessment skills
  • L17 referrals knowledge
  • Best Interests Case Practice Model knowledge
  • MARAM knowledge

Work Type

  • Fixed term full time

Experience Level

  • Negotiable dependent upon your years of experience or current SCHADS level

Education Level

  • Bachelor’s Degrees, Graduate Certificates, and Master’s Degrees are required
  • Diploma holders need to complete further study and a higher level of education within the next 10 years.

Salary/Compensations

  • Starting at around $105,557 plus super plus salary packaging (Level 5 SCHADS)
