About the Role

Responsibilities
- Guide a teaching team to create classroom plans and goals
- Lead hands-on activities to meet the needs and interests of children
- Maintain open communication with parents regarding daily milestones
- Ensure a safe and clean classroom environment by following established procedures
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or GED
- Completion of 12 ECE units including Child Development, Child Family Community, and 2 curriculum courses
- Infant/Toddler class required for Infant or Toddler positions
- 12 to 18 months of professional teaching experience in child care, daycare, or preschool
- Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice (DAP)
- Must pass state and company background checks
- Compliance with all federal, state, and local health and safety requirements including immunizations and physical screenings
- Ability to lift, carry, or hold children weighing 10 to 40 pounds frequently and over 40 pounds occasionally
- Ability to demonstrate full range of motion including lifting, reaching, squatting, climbing, and sitting
- Ability to respond immediately to emergencies and maintain physical and mental alertness
