About the Role
As an Agent Strategist, you will own how Sierra’s AI agents are developed and implemented for customers, from initial pilot to production. You will bridge product development, agent building, and customer-facing work, staying closely connected to both the technology and the people you serve. Your role is to transform complex customer challenges into agents that deliver measurable business impact.
Responsibilities
- Own the Agent Development Life Cycle, from initial scope through conversation design, tooling, evaluation, launch, and continuous iteration.
- Translate business goals into high-performing agents and tune them for optimal real-world performance.
- Serve as a trusted strategic advisor to enterprise leaders, understanding their business objectives and shaping AI strategies.
- Partner with customer working teams, facilitating working sessions and troubleshooting agent issues.
- Identify and communicate unmet customer needs to research and platform teams to influence future product development.
Requirements
- Customer obsession with genuine energy for understanding customer businesses and needs.
- Ability to thrive in complex organizations and build trusted relationships.
- Clear, direct, and persuasive communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills for strategic problem-solving in ambiguous environments.
- Ability to adapt to rapid changes and identify risks early.
- Technical aptitude, including comfort with API documentation, data models, system architecture, and engineering tradeoffs.
- Proven track record of managing multiple complex, high-visibility projects and driving them to successful outcomes.
- Genuine interest in Financial Services and improving end-customer experiences.
- Experience in financial technology, implementations at financial institutions, or familiarity with financial services security and compliance requirements is a strong plus.
- Experience building or deploying AI/LLM agents in production, including hands-on experience with relevant tools.
- Experience as a founder, founding team member, or operator, balancing craft, ownership, and speed.
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience, and/or an MBA or comparable experience at the intersection of technology and business.
