About the Role

The Staff Pad has partnered with a leading logistics and warehousing organization to hire an experienced and dependable Inventory Controller for its Brooklyn, NY location. This role is key in maintaining accurate inventory records and supporting efficient transportation and warehousing operations.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate inventory records through cycle counts and physical inventories
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Enforce inventory control procedures to minimize loss, damage, and shrinkage
  • Prepare inventory reports and provide insights to management
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve inventory accuracy and efficiency
  • Track inventory movements using inventory management systems
  • Support inventory audits and ensure compliance with company policies and SOPs

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2+ years of inventory control, warehouse, or logistics experience preferred
  • Experience with inventory management and warehouse management systems (WMS)
  • Excellent attention to detail and proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Strong analytical, communication, organizational, time-management and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of transportation, warehousing, and inventory control best practices
  • Ability to support process improvements and maintain SOP compliance
