About the Role

Join the Advanced Analytics team as a Senior Data Engineer to shape the future of intelligence capabilities by building trusted data models, pipelines, and analytics products that support regulatory decision-making. This role is crucial for managing Australia's largest data assets and providing valuable insights for regulatory risk-based analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of data models and Intelligence systems.
  • Develop scalable data pipelines for automating data extraction from internal and external sources.
  • Leverage regulatory insights in government licensing, building and construction, and regulatory intelligence data.
  • Implement data quality and governance practices to maintain data integrity and compliance.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.

Requirements

  • Proven experience designing, building, and maintaining robust data models.
  • Deep practical understanding of Medallion architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold layers).
  • Ability to learn business context quickly and work closely with analysts, investigators, and business stakeholders.
  • Strong working knowledge of Azure-based data platforms, including Databricks, DevOps, Function App, and Web App.
  • Solid Python, SQL, and data integration skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline National Security Clearance.
