About the Role

Okta's Public Sector Team is seeking a dynamic sales leader to build upon its success and drive further growth across Australian Federal Government accounts. This role offers an opportunity to do career-defining work, shaping the future of digital identity and driving positive social outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute a long-term vision, strategy, and targets to drive growth across Australian Federal Government accounts.
  • Lead and align a high-performing virtual team including Partners, Solution Engineers, Customer Success, Technical Account Managers, Renewals, Professional Services, Business Development, and more.
  • Drive pipeline generation and revenue growth, consistently meeting and exceeding targets.
  • Expand and deepen relationships with Federal Government customers, building long-term, trust-based partnerships.
  • Establish yourself as a thought leader in Okta’s platform and the broader Identity space within the Federal market.
  • Champion Okta’s value proposition to prospective clients through compelling presentations, demonstrations, and strategic engagement.
  • Embody and promote Okta’s core values: Love Our Customers, Always Secure, Always On, Build and Own It, and Drive What’s Next.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of field sales experience, consistently demonstrating high performance and a growth mindset.
  • Proven success selling enterprise cloud software into Australian Federal Government (or Federal-aligned agencies).
  • Strong understanding of Federal procurement environments and the ability to navigate complex stakeholder groups.
  • Experience collaborating with partners and reseller channels to drive customer alignment and territory growth.
  • A strong track record in new business development, consistently exceeding financial targets.
  • A curious mindset, adaptability, and a passion for learning and growth.
  • Executive presence, strong communication skills, and the ability to engage senior stakeholders.
  • Experience with solution selling and/or consultative sales techniques; familiarity with MEDDPICC is a plus.
  • Based in Canberra (or willing to be Canberra-based).
  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.
