About the Role
The Staff Nurse in the Operating Room provides professional nursing care to all people of all ages and their families. Utilizes knowledge of nursing process to assess, plan, intervene, evaluate and document care. Formulates nursing diagnosis for treating actual or potential health problems, teaching, counseling and providing care. Delegates appropriate tasks to assistive nursing personnel. Displays professional practice as set forth in The Brooklyn Hospital Center’s standard of care, and the institution’s mission and goals.
Responsibilities

Requirements
- One (1) to two (2) years of operating room experience in acute care experience
- Current New York State Licensed Registered Professional Nurse
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Computer knowledge and skills
- Communicates in a therapeutic and professional manner.
- Speaks, reads and writes English to the extent required by the position.
