About the Role
GXO is seeking experienced Class 2 Drivers to join their Store to Home team in Beckton, working with B&Q on a full-time, permanent basis. This role involves delivering products to customer premises, maintaining accurate driving records, and operating company vehicles safely.
Responsibilities
- Delivering products to customer premises (room of choice) on a multidrop basis, averaging 16 drops per day off-peak and 24 drops per day in peak season.
- Maintaining accurate driving/working time records using the Tachomaster system and manual entries as required by WTD regulations.
- Operating company vehicles in a safe, legal, and efficient manner.
- Ensuring all products are checked off the vehicle and customers receive the correct products and delivery documentation.
- Keeping customers informed of their estimated time of delivery and communicating politely and courteously when issues arise.
Requirements
- Previous experience in multidrop, store deliveries is preferable but not essential.
- A full UK driving licence with category C Entitlement.
- No more than 6 penalty points on your licence (no DD, DR, DG, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT endorsements).
- An up-to-date CPC and Digital Tachograph.
- Excellent customer service skills, both written and verbal.
- Willingness to undertake pre-employment Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS Check).
- Prepared to commute to Beckton (E6 6LG) for the required shift pattern.
