About the Role

The Economics Instructor is responsible for teaching economics courses in both face-to-face and online formats using the D2L Brightspace learning management system. This position requires effective course delivery, student engagement, and the use of best practices in online instruction, including audio and video learning tools within the LMS. Candidates must possess a strong commitment to student success through high-quality instruction.

Teach economic courses in in-person and online format using the Learning Management System (LMS) D2L Brightspace.

Adhere to Institutional policies and procedures.

Requirements

Master’s degree in economics or master's degree with 18 graduate semester hours in Economics.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Maintain timely interactions with students.
Support student success through high-quality instruction.
Tennessee residency.
Relevant online teaching experience.
Proficiency with D2L Brightspace.

Skills

Utilize multiple functions within the LMS (audio and video recording).
