About the Role
Alternative Payments is seeking an Account Executive to join their Sales team. This full-cycle role involves generating pipeline, managing deals from first touch to close, and contributing to go-to-market strategy. The ideal candidate is a builder who thrives on creating pipeline and closing deals in a rapidly evolving market.
Responsibilities
- Own pipeline end to end, generating it through outbound prospecting, account research, referrals, and partnerships.
- Run the full sales cycle from first outreach through discovery, demo, and close.
- Maintain healthy pipeline velocity and balance multiple deals at different stages.
- Manage a high-velocity pipeline, ensuring clean CRM hygiene and accurate forecasting.
- Build and execute strategic account plans for prospects, mapping buying committees and navigating procurement, security, and finance approvals.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to CFOs, finance leaders, and operations executives, translating platform value into quantified business benefits.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Product, Customer Success) to refine messaging, inform the roadmap, and ensure seamless handoffs.
- Travel occasionally for client meetings, conferences, or team events.
- Consistently hit and exceed quota, forecasting accurately and maintaining a clean, well-documented pipeline in CRM.
- Propose improvements and help establish outbound playbooks, workflows, and best practices.
Requirements
- 5+ years of full-cycle B2B sales experience with a track record of self-sourcing pipeline and closing multi-stakeholder deals.
- Demonstrated success carrying and exceeding a quota in a B2B sales environment.
- Strong outbound and prospecting skills across email, phone, social, and in-person channels.
- Proven experience selling a technical or financial software product.
- Ability to lead value-based, ROI-driven conversations with senior finance and operations stakeholders.
- Strong communication and executive presence.
- Proactive, ownership mindset with the ability to operate independently and prioritize effectively.
- Fluency with a modern sales tech stack (e.g., Salesforce, Apollo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator).
- Eligible to work in Canada.
