About the Role
Under general supervision, the Administrative Specialist performs simple to complex administrative support and tasks under the direction of a supervisorial position. This role serves as the front office contact for all visitors and callers and may require working early mornings, evenings, and weekends to support meetings. The Administrative Specialist is an essential team member supporting Central Health employees in providing access to high-quality care.
Responsibilities
- Performs receptionist duties, greeting and assisting patients and visitors.
- Answers phone lines, screens and routes calls, takes and relays messages, and responds to customer inquiries.
- Provides administrative support for meetings, including early, evening, and weekend support.
- Performs data entry and computer work using Microsoft 365 applications.
- Provides administrative support, including scanning, printing, research, and special projects.
- Serves as backup to administrative office supervisor duties.
- Handles outgoing and incoming mail, overnight services, and courier services.
- Manages office equipment, including printers and shredders, and schedules maintenance.
- Manages meeting room schedules and coordinates meeting needs.
- Serves as the subject matter expert for audio and visual equipment in meeting rooms.
- Coordinates housekeeping services for meeting rooms.
- Serves as a member of the Safety Team.
- Supports the Records Management program and community outreach programs.
Requirements
- Three (3) years of related experience.
