About the Role
A family in Katonah, NY seeks an experienced Housekeeper/Nanny for a long-term position. This role focuses primarily on housekeeping for a large home, with occasional childcare support for three young children. The ideal candidate is energetic, proactive, kind, and flexible, taking pride in maintaining a beautiful home and supporting the family when needed.
Responsibilities
- Complete daily housekeeping for a 9,000-square-foot home with 6 bedrooms and approximately 9 bathrooms
- Deep cleaning, organizing, dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and maintaining the home to a high standard
- Family laundry, ironing, folding, and linen changes
- Keep closets, storage areas, and household spaces organized
- Assist with household errands and general household management as needed
- Provide occasional childcare support before or after school, during school breaks, date nights, or when the family's au pair is unavailable
- Assist with school pickups, activities, and supervision when needed
- Help with children's dinner and evening routines as requested
Requirements
- Previous experience working in a large private home
- Comfortable caring for three children, ages nearly 6, 4, and 2, when needed
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Comfortable swimming with children
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Strong professional references
- Comfortable working collaboratively with parents and an au pair
Skills
- Strong housekeeping skills with excellent attention to detail
- Comfortable balancing housekeeping with occasional childcare
- High energy, proactive, and self-motivated
- Kind, warm, and flexible personality
- Excellent organizational skills
- Spanish-speaking is a plus
